CONNECT WITH LUKUS ESTOK
New Yorker and restauranteur Lukus Estok contracted coronavirus in late February just before the full impact of the pandemic hit the New York area. As his illness hung on, his symptoms improving and then worsening again, he grappled with many unknowns as well as the physical, psychological, and emotional toll the virus took on him. Now healthy again, Lukus shares his coronavirus recovery story, what life is like in the US epicenter for this crisis, and offers insight for an uncertain time.
Lukus Estok is a husband, dog dad, and restauranteur. He lives in NYC and dreams of the day when he will once more be able to travel.
Many thanks to Lukus for sharing his story and to Sergio Llorian for helping to make this episode possible.

ABOUT YOUR HOST
Hey there! I’m Ronit Plank, a native New Yorker and former actress who studied with Uta Hagen, Alfred Molina, and at Ensemble Studio Theatre in NYC before heading west to Los Angeles. I transitioned from acting to writing and began publishing short stories and essays.
I love teaching and have worked with 7th, 8th, and 9th graders and have also lectured at the university level. I currently teach Hebrew to third graders on weekends and volunteer-coach high school seniors in western Washington public schools on their college admissions essays and personal statements.
